Salvation Through Jesus Christ
We believe that the foundation of everything we do is rooted in leading people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We are passionate about sharing the Gospel so that none will perish but all will come to eternal life. Every individual is welcomed into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ, where transformation and hope are found.
John 14:6 – “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Empowerment Through the Five-Fold Ministry
We are committed to equipping every believer to operate in the gifts God has given them, specifically the five-fold ministry gifts: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher. We believe these gifts are vital for building up the Body of Christ, advancing the Kingdom of God, and fulfilling the call of the Church.
Ephesians 4:11-12 – “So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.”
Voice in the Wilderness
We are called to be the prophetic voice in our community, standing firm in the truth of God’s Word. We will boldly declare God’s message of hope, justice, and salvation, even in the midst of darkness, knowing that God has called us to bring light into the world.
Isaiah 40:3 – “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.'”
Authentic Community
We value authentic relationships that foster spiritual growth, accountability, and mutual support. At Freedom Chapel, we are a family united by our love for God and one another. We seek to build a community where every person feels seen, loved, and empowered to walk out their God-given purpose.
Acts 2:44-47 – “All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.”
Faith in Action
We believe that our faith must be lived out through tangible acts of love and service. We are committed to serving others both inside and outside the church, reaching our community with practical expressions of God’s love, and being the hands and feet of Jesus in a broken world.
James 2:17 – “In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”
Spiritual Growth and Discipleship
We are dedicated to growing in our relationship with God, maturing in our faith, and becoming fully devoted followers of Christ. We will provide opportunities for biblical teaching, personal reflection, and life transformation to empower individuals to fulfill their God-given destiny.
2 Peter 3:18 – “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
Kingdom Expansion
Our heart is to build the Kingdom of God through outreach, evangelism, and the raising up of disciples who will go out and make an impact in their communities. We believe that our mission is not limited to the walls of our church, but extends to every nation, as we bring the light of Christ to the world.
Matthew 28:19-20 – “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Julio Vazquez is a passionate leader with a heart for worship, ministry, and transformation. After a life-changing encounter with Jesus at 14, he embraced his calling, serving in music and pastoral leadership. In 2010, he planted The Chapel in the South Bronx, impacting countless lives. In 2024, following a prophetic word, he launched Freedom Chapel in Jefferson Valley, NY, a place dedicated to healing, restoration, and deeper intimacy with God. With over 30 years in music ministry and a deep love for people, Pastor Julio is committed to guiding others into their God-given purpose.
