Feeding Our Community

JEFFERSON VALLEY, NY — September 27, 2026 - Freedom Chapel partnered with Feeding Westchester on Sunday, September 27, to help address food insecurity in the local community, distributing more than 5,000 pounds of food and serving over 150 families.

This community outreach reflects Freedom Chapel’s commitment to being actively involved in the community it serves. Volunteers from the church worked alongside Feeding Westchester to help families access food and essential resources.

“We are grateful for the privilege to serve our community,” said Pastor Julio Vazquez of Freedom Chapel. “We understand that food insecurity affects families right here in our community, and we believe that as a church, we have a responsibility to respond with compassion and practical support.”

The partnership provided hundreds of individuals and families with food while also giving Freedom Chapel members an opportunity to connect with and serve their neighbors.

For Freedom Chapel, the outreach is part of a broader commitment to community involvement and service. The church regularly seeks opportunities to support local residents and organizations, emphasizing that ministry extends beyond the church walls.

“We are not simply a church located in this community; we are part of the community we serve,” Vazquez said. “When there is a need, we want to be there to help.”

The church hopes to continue partnering with community organizations to provide practical assistance and demonstrate care for local families.
