Meet Pastor Julio Vazquez
Pastor Julio Angel Vazquez is the founder and senior pastor of Freedom Chapel. He gave his life to Jesus at the age of 14, beginning a lifelong journey of faith, worship, and service. With more than 30 years of experience in music ministry, Pastor Julio’s passion for worship helped shape his calling as a worship leader, pastor, and spiritual guide.
In 2010, Pastor Julio planted The Chapel in the South Bronx, where he served as lead pastor for many years. His ministry has always centered on helping people grow spiritually, develop a deeper relationship with God, and walk confidently in their God-given purpose.
In September 2024, Pastor Julio received a prophetic word: “Do what you have been called to do.” In obedience to that calling, he launched Freedom Chapel in Jefferson Valley in March 2025. His vision is for Freedom Chapel to be a place of healing, restoration, spiritual growth, and genuine belonging—a church where people can encounter God, discover their purpose, and experience true freedom through Jesus Christ.
Pastor Julio has a heart for people and a deep commitment to serving the local community through prayer, outreach, and compassionate care. His desire is to build a Spirit-led, disciple-making church that equips believers, raises leaders, strengthens families, and shines the light of Christ throughout the community.
